Meet Emily Bader
Integrative Healing Practitioner
I worked as a Registered Nurse for 6 years and enjoyed caring for those who were in need whether with acute or chronic issues. I worked in the hospital setting and then in an infusion clinic working primarily with autoimmunity. It was during this time that I became more curious about the ways our bodies respond to our environment. I worked with so many people who developed autoimmune diseases later in life, some people when they were young, others when they were older. I began looking more into why some people develop autoimmune diseases, why others don’t. I also realized how much our environment is having an affect on our immune system. I realized the connection that autoimmune diseases have with so many other issues that our societies are living with. After having kids of my own, these questions needed more answers. I had new life that I was bringing into the world, and I wanted to give them the best start possible. Learning how to take control of my health and the health of my kids became a priority. I had the desire to learn more about the importance of providing the body with what it needs and helping rid the body of what it doesn’t. I believe that though we are sinners, we are fearfully and wonderfully made and our bodies know how to heal, they just might need some encouragement and the proper tools to help with healing. This curiosity has motivated me to continue asking questions to expand my learning not only for healing myself and my family, but also others who are looking to heal from the inside out.
Why Integrative Healing
It seems that despite the advances in technology, health care and modern conveniences, society as a whole continues to get more and more sick. Every time we look, there is a new disorder or disease, intolerance or sensitivity. With each of these new diseases, a new medication comes out to help, and yet, the issues don’t go away. We see this with autoimmunity or with new long term effects after viral infections. All of these new “normals” haunt us and our families with the thoughts of living with these issues life long. We go to our doctor for help with our fatigue, tests are run and conclusion is, everything looks fine. Normal is fine and fine is normal they tell us. But you don’t feel normal, you don’t feel fine. That is because normal does not always mean optimal and because our bodies work together as a whole but also individually per person, the root cause is trickling down to cause multiple problems. Integrative healing provides a different approach to healing where the system (the body) is addressed instead of just the symptoms. Addressing the symptoms is just putting a bandage over the problem while addressing the system (the body) is finding the root cause and fixing the problem. Functional labs tests are used to look at the body as a whole and unique to the person. What is really going on inside our body that is causing dis-ease? These symptoms are trying to tell us that are bodies need help and functional lab tests help to examine why our bodies are asking for help.

Digestion
Digestion is how we process what goes into our bodies. Our bodies need nutrients daily for regular function of our system and through digestion, we absorb these nutrients. If digestion is not working properly, our bodies cannot successfully utilize the nutrients we are supplying it through food and supplements.
Fatigue
It seems that society as a whole has an issue with fatigue. Our everyday lives that are filled with stress, inadequate diets, nutrient deficiencies, as well as toxins, which are leading us to a fatigue that is quickly becoming the new normal.
Detoxification
Detoxification is the process of removing used and harmful substances from our bodies. If our detoxification pathways are not working properly and are backed up, additional symptoms can manifest showing us a need for a little help.

Over All Health
Our microbiome plays a huge role in over-all health. Our bodies are full of good and bad bacteria. When the bad bacteria outweighs the good bacteria, our bodies begin to manifest with different issues like leaky gut, illness and digestive issues.
Stress
Stress happens, it is unavoidable and inevitable, but how we respond to the stress affects the way our bodies cope with it. Stress can be physical or emotional, short term or long term, environmental or personal. Stress has such a strong affect on our health and well being and if stress is not addressed or managed, healing stops and in most cases, gets worse.
